| On November 30 the P.R.R.P. workshop
on 11 Church West in Abercorn was filled with people, laughter and music. The house was
decorated for Christmas and their was something for everyone, quilts, rugs, household
items, Grammas lace, etc. And all kinds of knitted articles.
Everyone was checking the front porch lea market for treasures.
The famous Blue Room, "the friperie", was busy as articles were at
half price. One room held Christmas decorations only. Many choices there, birch logs,
wreaths, angels and stockings.
The kitchen was the place to sit and enjoy the coffee and snacks and listen to
music since the regular musicians were in Florida. Special thanks to Marc Meunier for
playing for us.
The usual pot luck dinner was served upstairs in the workshop to the workers,
families and special guests.
All to soon 4 p.m. arrived and the fun of drawing the lucky names for gifts
going to people in Cowansville, Sutton, Glen Sutton and Abercorn.
Many thanks to all who came to buy our crafts and to all who have donated
articles throughout the year. It is the support of the public that keeps the project
going.
Special thanks to all the extra helpers that day, Denis, Pierre, Carman, Diane,
Mary, special dishwashers Raymond and Malcolm.
A special thank you to handyman Gérard for spending a entire day helping us get
ready for the big event.
The workshop will be closed until January 9, 1997. Se you then. Merry Christmas
and Joyeux Noel from P.R.R.P. Abercorn. |
